About Me

Allison C Kane, E-RYT 500®, YACEP® by Yoga Alliance, Integrated Tune Up and Roll Method Instructor

Allison has been practicing yoga since the late 1990s. In 2002, she began to focus on alignment-based forms of yoga through the study of Anusara. Allison completed both her 200 & 500-hour Teacher Trainings with Sue Elkind & Naime Jezzeny of DIG Yoga in New Jersey and a 100-hour Immersion program with Carmel Calgano of Yoga Anjali. As part of these trainings, she studied anatomy, therapeutics, and restorative forms of yoga.

In 2015, Allison began to follow Jill Miller and is now an Integrated Yoga Tune Up® instructor and a teacher of The Roll Model Method® The use of self-massage in combination with the deconstructed yoga poses has invited her to look at her traditional yoga practice in a whole new way.

Allison also completed Dinneen Viggiano’s Retrain Back Pain® program in order to aid those with chronic back pain and Dianne Bondy’s Yoga For All® training which helps her expand her teaching for all types of bodies.

As a result of all of this, she has moved beyond a focus on beautifully aligned poses on the yoga mat. She now blends all of these approaches together to develop fun, educational classes that can help students live better and longer in their own bodies.

In addition to the teachers above, she has studied yoga and anatomy with Jillian Pranksy, Jules Mitchell, Tom Myers, Noah Maze, Jason Crandell, Jenny Otto, Desiree Rumbaugh and Christina Sell. Allison is also a graduate of Hamilton College, Columbia Business School and completed a Master’s program at NYU.
